GREXPA sa was founded by Dr. Willem Steenkamp and his Guatemalan wife, Mónica Mendez de Steenkamp (who is the President and legal representative of our company, which is duly incorporated in the Republic of Guatemala). Willem, now retired, is the emeritus director of studies of our coaching divisions, the eLife Academy (Excellentia Life, with life coaching that’s focused on living abroad, earning an extra income online, and overcoming adversity) as well as eDELE (Excellentia Didactica, coaching Spanish 1-on-1 online).

Willem is a retired former ambassador and lawyer, novelist and academic (he headed the South African diplomatic academy and i.a. represented Pres. Nelson Mandela as the New South Africa’s first ambassador to so-called “Black Africa”). Apart from his Law degrees, he has a PhD in the Social Sciences, is a Certified Professional Life Coach and holds the top DELE C2 diploma is Spanish as foreign language, as well as certificates in Linguistics, online teaching and IT use from the universities of Cambridge, Southampton, Leicester and Leeds.

Mónica is the head tutor of our eDELE Spanish coaching division, while Mario Mendez is in charge of our construction and maintenance entity, Multiservicios Mendez.
